We provide Scouting for over 1200 young men and women aged from 6 to 25yrs. They participate in a hugely enjoyable and active programme at one of the 20 Scout Groups and Units across the District…. with lots of adult opportunities to volunteer; We cover the Adel, Horsforth, Bramhope, Yeadon, Guiseley and Rawdon areas of Leeds
‘Fun & Adventure’ is at the heart of everything we do, It is the single most important thing that sets Scouts apart. It’s exciting being involved with us and we believe that through the everyday adventure of Scouting, young people and adult volunteers regularly experience new challenges that enrich their lives. We offer hundreds of activities, as diverse as canoeing, abseiling, staged performance, paragliding, and archery…. there are no boundaries to what we can offer. There’s something for every young person, whatever their ability.
If you think Scouting’s just about knots, woggles and big shorts, then be prepared to be surprised. It’s how Richard Branson, Barack Obama and David Beckham got their start in life and you can benefit too.
There are 450,000 young people in Scouting in the UK, spread across five sections: Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Explorer Scouts and the Scout Network. Each section has its own balanced programme of activities, badges and awards.
This is a map of the Groups within the District, along with the location of Scout Activity sites near our area (please note that some of the pins may overlap so if you open the map you can apply filters):
